Long ago, in a distant land

Well, not really but it seems that way! About TWO weeks ago we traveled to DC as a family. Our trip was for three reasons:
1. temple
2. visit Chris and Evelyn
3. Josh a new toy

Although we all put those into different priorities :) , we were able to accomplish all but #1...and why didn't we get to attend the temple?



because we experienced snow that was deeper than Petey is tall! Needless to say our one night trip turned into a two night...but it was nice to see the cousins all snuggled up being snowed in for another night!

JJ had a blast playing with Uncle Chris and his guitar! He's our little musician in the making!




And Josh accomplished his goal of buying his "new" toy! Boy, did we have fun! JJ loved wiping out while being pulled on the boogie board (a sled, for those of us that don't see snow too often)









We were able to enjoy a nice extended visit with Chris, Evelyn, and Addie.






However, when it came time to leave, I expected for the drive to take a lot longer than normal but I never thought it would take us two hours just to get off their street!!! Yes, right after Chris told me NOT to get the van stuck...I get it stuck! And poor Josh and Chris shoveled, and shoveled, and shoveled til Josh decided to go to Home Depot, buy a chain, and yank my van out using his new toy! Guess its not just a toy, uh?





The snow was gorgeous, something we would not have seen if we didn't take one of my husband's many random adventures.
