Since his check up was a week ago today, I figured I should put on an update before it becomes outdated!
Last week, I took Petey to see the best Pediatrician in the world, Dr. Thomas. We love Dr. Thomas so much! He is very loving and takes into consideration a mother's intuition. But I digress...I just love our Doctor!!! Petey now weighs 11 lbs. 14 oz. (2 more pounds than at birth!!!) He is heavier than 95% of infants his age. This is a huge excitement for me!
When Kelsy and JJ were this old (6 weeks) when I had returned to work. The kids were using bottles during the day and only nursing at night. Kelsy shortly there after quit latching on and my milk supplied dropped drastically. Well, I'm pleased to say that in the past 6 weeks, Petey has had only one bottle (of expressed breast milk) and that was given to him by Grama Farrell while Josh and I had a few hours to ourselves. When I was pregnant, I was concerned with how feedings would go since I hadn't exclusively nursed before. Needless to say, I am very pleased with my accomplishment!! Two pounds in one month...Momma's feeding him good!!!
Petey actually shrunk a 1/2 inch to 21 1/2 inches but that could simply be measurement but I could care less about height because I've got a chunky monkey!!!
