My 22 year old truck has had better days...notice it in the background? The driveway is normally occupied by Caroline's van, with mine off to the side. The old F250 sees the driveway for repairs/maintenance. Well, it has been in the driveway now for about a week...completely undrivable. We've been planning on buying a newer truck for me, but were anticipating it being another 6-12 months from now. The a fore mentioned broken F250 pretty much forced our hands. As much as I've been wanting a new truck I certainly have not been in a hurry to have a payment. After a full day of driving around most of Tidewater (southeast) VA, we took a 3 hour road-trip to Warrenton, VA (aka da boonies!). We drove up together in Caroline's van, but drove home in 2 vehicles.....
Meet my 2005 Ram 2500. I am the second owner and it has only 33,500 miles! If anyone cares, or knows what it means, the truck has the 5.9L Cummins Turbo-diesel, auto trans, 4 wheel drive, all power options, and a small lift with 33" tires.....and some bling (big ol 18" rims). It drives great, is a smooth ride (10 times nicer/smoother ride than old red) and has tons of power. Would you believe this huge beast will pull down 21mpg at 70mph?! The whole family loves it and I anticipate it being a at least a 10 year truck!
