"Friday's Soup"

Lately Kelsy has been wanting A LOT of Mommy attention which is often difficult with a needy baby. However, she's been wanting to have a party. {this entitles her getting dressed, setting her little table with table cloth down to the center piece, invitations, etc.}

Yesterday after breakfast Kelsy asked if I wanted to come to her restaurant. So, Petey and I headed upstairs. We were invited into JJ's room which had the table nicely adorned with a center piece and place settings. (Kelsy even had on her little apron that Aunt Meredith gave her.) She quickly brought me a hand drawn menu and asked what I would like to drink. She gave me the only option of root beer so I had "root beer" water.

It was so cute to see her go from the dining room (JJ's room) to the kitchen (her room) and watch her prepare food at her kitchen center. My meal consisted of macaroni and cheese and a root beer float for dessert (I detest root beer floats...yuck!) and of course a check was brought and a well deserved tip {kiss} was given. Such a GREAT little server!

Later on in the van, I asked her what she had named her restaraunt, and after a brief moment she said "Friday's Soup." Why, I asked....cause it's only open on Friday, mom!

Highly Recommend, Reservations a MUST! Visit Chef Kelsy at "Friday's Soup"

That is so cute! And kudos to you mom for taking time to "humor" Kelsy! Sometimes we forget to just stop and enjoy what our kids want us to do. Cute Story!

This is adorable. I will have to come and let her wait on me. I cant wait to see her in that cute little apron. Because the truth is I dont like root beer floats either which is weird because when I was her age I loved, loved, loved root beer.
