No More Than You Can Handle...

Supposedly, our Heavenly Father doesn't give you any more trials at one time than what He knows you can handle...He must know me a lot more than I know myself!!!

My previous post has explained the mishap of my 7 month old and his two skull fractures. Well, I'm really not in the frame of mind right now to explain the "how" but Kelsy was attacked by the TV in the playroom...lets just say she won't be climbing on chairs again! We ended up at CHKD's Emergency Department AGAIN this weekend. (Our Medical Bill Budget has officially been exceeded for the month!)

After a morning of x-rays, manipulation, and examines, the outcome was that Kelsy has a broken femur... luckily, its just a hairline fracture so no surgery is needed. She can not put any weight on it and can not use crutches (a little to uncoordinated). So, what does that mean? Mom and Dad have the privilege of lifting into bed, out of bed, into a chair, out of the chair, onto the toilet, and...well you get the idea. Josh's wood floors have been a blessing, its funny to watch her scoot around on her bottom! And we have been blessed with a wagon so when I have to take the kids off I have a spot for her and Petey to sit. (My hips are only so big! Can't carry both at the same time!)

Since its Memorial Day Weekend, we have to wait til Tuesday to make an appointment with the orthopedic doctor for the permanent cast. How long will it be on? Not sure yet...but we will opt for the waterproof cast seeing as summer is here!

Your hips are only so big and getting smaller. So you have one more excercise in your life....lifting Kelsy, multiple times daily. So sorry sweetie.

Poor Kelsy! And poor mom! Crazy month it's been for you! Hopefully this means things can be calm for a while! Unless heavenly father thinks you need just one more trial! She is such a good sport having to sit all the time. Hopefully she won't get stir crazy! Her butt has got to hurt sitting on it all day! Poor little girl! Call if you need anything!!!!

Oh man Caroline! I like the idea of locking JJ up in a room full of pillows, but you should probably get rooms just like it for you and Josh! Hopefully this will be the last accident for a long time!

Oh, Caroline. I'm sorry you've been having such a difficult time with your kiddos. What an amazing time you're having a time of it.

I've felt as you are recently! My trials are not the same, but HEAVY for me.

You are absolutely right. Our Heavenly Father does know you. And he knows that you will make it through this with the support of your friends and family. I will add Kelsy's fast recovery to my prayer list.
