I'm Lazy!

So, I've been really bad about the whole blogging thing the past couple of weeks! We haven't had too much go on...Kelsy turned 5 (man, I'm getting old!) and we went to court about Buddy's murder.

Kelsy had a great party...she wanted to invite everyone she knows but do to limited space in our home, we could only have a few friends. And it was a packed house with the few that were here! She was very intent on "building something" and having a pinata. So, oriental trading supplied us with the cutest picture frames to "build" (I love the foamy stuff!) and a clown fish pinata. (Notice I didn't say Nemo because she had a Littlest Pet Shop Party and she made sure I knew it was not a nemo party!) She had a blast and is excited about going to school next year! I think her favorite gifts were the Vera Bradley purse my mother gave her (we just have to make her high maintenance so young), her soccer gear...season starts in two weeks, and Gramma giving her the materials for crocheting! She's done a few sessions of crocheting with Gramma and I think she's slowly catching on. (I'm really excited about the crocheting since my grandma hick taught me how to crochet!) I'll post pictures hopefully later today has time allows.

Josh and I went to court on Wednesday to witness in the case against the owner of the two pitbulls that killed Buddy. We were quite frustrated since it was continued til March 25. Mr. Washington (the owner) had at least three weeks to get an attorney and he waits til the day of court to invoke his right to one! So now, Josh has to take off work in order for us to go back! But there was a bright side to the matter! Mr. Washington finally took responsiblity and admitted ownership! He gave permission for the female to be put down and he wants the male back...but animal control is fighting on that! However, this gives us the green light to take him to court civilly in order to get compensation for our veterinary fees and replacement of the dog...not that we have yet! The kids and I are actually going to the pound today...Josh and I went Wednesday and fell in love with a white Shiba Inu! (well, I fell in love) Josh said I could look more into it. Of course, its not the english bulldog that he is dying to have but its a little more financially affordable and were helping out our great friends at animal control! I don't care what anyone says...there are some great people that work for animal control and do an awesome and loving job!!!

Yay! It's fun to hear the latest. We are so glad there was a somewhat good outcome from this court appearance, hopefully the next will be more productive! So we checked out images of those breeds... cute dogs.

Also... congrats on your progress towards your weight goal. I don't know if you made it again this week, but you've been doing great so far! =)

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. I appreciate it. Of course now that the hubby is home, all is well, kiddos are practically all healed up and he helped me by cleaning so much today! Thankgoodness! Good luck with your soon to be new addition, you'll have to post pics of the dog you decide to get. And it's a bummer your court date was set back, but hopefully things will go in your favor and your sweet dog will have his justice! ;) I hope Petey is feeling better. it's the worst when they are too little to take any meds! You want to pull your hair out!
