JJ loved the waves, he found a spot where he could lay on his belly, feet towards the water, with the waves crashing on his back. Lying like this, JJ would let the waves come down on him and push him up onto the beach.
Both Kelsy and JJ could not get enough of their daddy throwing them into the crashing waves.
Kelsy was more interested in playing in the sand with all her new friends, but she had a ball in the water too. Kelsy was insistent on having her daddy help her dig a big hole. Once we had a hole about one foot wide by two feet long and maybe half a foot deep, Kelsy sat in it and sad, "That's almost big enough." When asked for what, she told me "To bury me in." I have no idea were she got the idea from, I even looked around to see if anyone else was doing this but found no one. Once Kelsy was up to her neck in sand she asked JJ to join her and her little buddy sure enough did!

Once free from the sand, Kelsy figured that her daddy needed his turn and of course I conceeded. It is kinda funny how a "Come on JJ, lets dig a hole and bury daddy" turns into daddy digging all by himself! The two munchkins had a ball covering me up though. JJ found it especially funny to drop sand on my head. The little bugger was smart enough to know that once my arms were buried I couldn't stop him. I too couldn't help but find it funny to watch JJ grab a handfull of sand, pour it over my head and hear him giggling.
