It has actually been about 3 weeks since I took the kids on their first family (minus pregnant mom) camping trip. It was a kind of spur of the moment trip on a friday afternoon, to Northwest River Park in Chesapeake about 45 minutes away.
The kids had a great time! Dad did too, I just learned that to thoroughly enjoy this kind of outing, we should allow for more time. We are anxious to go camping some more and look forward to the less humid and hot days this coming fall for more trips!

What an awesome outing! :) And a pretty brave Daddy. Way to go, Josh! I actually read this and the next post a while ago, but I've been so busy with the work I'm doing I couldn't write comments! I look forward to seeing more Fall camping pictures and I'm sure the two kiddos are looking forward to DOing it, too!
