The week past

So, I've been really bad about writing on our blog. I'm going to try to catch up a little bit.

Kelsy and JJ stayed the night at my parent's house last night so Josh and I could have a date night. It was great! We went to waterside for dinner and then met up with his dad and brothers to see Ironman. I know...what's a date if you have to meet family? Well, a compromise was made since Josh is going to take me out this week for mother's day. He has to work next Sunday :( But, it's my little brother's last call home before he comes home from his mission. So my mother's day isn't completely spoiled.

The kids had a great time last night. They stayed up late and watched movies but that just means they went to bed early tonight! After I picked them up today, we went to the fire station to see Josh. Its always a blast to see them jumping around on the fire trucks and entertaining the firefighters. Kelsy is the biggest flirt and giggles the whole time.

When we got home today, I decided to play in the flowerbed. Its my new found love! I've really started to enjoy watching things grow. Kelsy and I even started our first garden. We're starting simple with just cucumbers and tomatoes. Let's see how my green thumb works with them. Hopefully next year I'll have more time to devote to it.

Speaking of next year, less than 30 school days til I'm officially a stay at home mom!! Exciting and scary at the same time...
