Chesapeake Jubilee

After the Father/Son Campout, we were craving some family time (especially since Josh is on what the fire department calls "hell week" right now...basically he's not home this week!) So we took the kids to the Chesapeake Jubilee. For those of you that aren't familiar with it, its basically a huge fair. Our main goal was to go see the fireworks Saturday night but once JJ and Kelsy got an eye on the rides to "play" that's all they wanted to do. The jubilee is a money pit so we limited the rides they went on (it really helped that we didn't get there til 8:00 so they were already tired). JJ chose to ride the train.

If you didn't know, JJ's new love is Thomas the Train so he was in heaven being the conductor of the train. Josh chose their final ride (notice the limit to 2 rides...not kidding, money pit!!!). Kelsy and JJ rode their first ROLLER COASTER!!!!
They barely reached the height range! Josh had to hold on to both so they wouldn't fly out but they wanted to ride again!!!! They definitely get their adventure side from Josh!

Needless to say, we saw the fireworks but the kids didn't paid them any attention! Too much stimulation from all the lights around!

Of course they love the roller coaster! It reminds them of their dad throwing them up in the air and swinging them all about! =) They are so cute!
